The Emergency Broadband Benefit Program is a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program that provides a temporary discount on monthly broadband bills for qualifying low-income households.

Click on the Emergency Broadband Benefit tab under New & Notes on the menu to the left for links to more information about this program.

"The Madison Region Economic Partnership unveils broadband speed-testing tool. The tool will show participants what their current internet speeds are while collecting necessary data for the Madison Region to pursue better broadband infrastructure in the areas as identified."

Home Purchase and Repair Loans & Grants

Community Development Block Grant money available: 0% loans are available to owner-occupied households for eligible home repairs, to income eligible tenants for home-buying assistance for down payments/closing costs and to landlords who rent to tenants that are low- to moderate-income.  Click here for information on assistance.

USDA Rural Development has funding available to purchase and repair homes in eligible rural communities. Interest rates range between 1-3.25%. Grants for repairs are also available to income eligible households over the age of 62. For more information, contact USDA Rural Development at 715-345-7611.
